What should an about page have? Some random facts about me? Information that demonstrates my love for sound design? I’m not quite sure myself, but I’m just going to talk about myself, share my life, and share my experiences. My entire life I’ve wanted to make a huge impact with my passion. Around late 2017 I started to think of other things I wanted to do artistically other than music. I loved, and still, love jazz music, but I wanted to do other things. I started dabbling with the idea of film scores, video game scores, and sound design. After a year or so of trying out theses things sound design was my favorite of the three.

There’s a marriage of artistry and craftsmanship that comes with sound design that I love. The beauty of taking something totally foreign and transforming it into something else is magical. The craftsmanship needed to mix and implement audio is thrilling to me. Some of the greatest joys I’ve had in the past two years is when I’m having an issue with Wwise, I feel doomed, and then I finally figure out the issue and get it to work. Once my Soundbanks weren’t syncing for two days and when I got it to work I hooted and hollered loudly and ran around my apartment with my arms in the air like Rocky Balboa. Those are the moments that make life worth living and my work worth doing.

My mission in life is to reach a level of excellence. Excellence as a sound designer, excellence as a son, excellence as a person. It’s my true objective in life to create a positive impact. I want people to remember me as a good person they had in their life. A person who did things the right way for the right reasons. That’s why everyday when I wake up I say “I want to make a positive impact on the world through sound” I don’t say “I want another big gig” or “I want to get the job I applied for” because those things come and go. But making an positive impact in the world through sound? That’s forever. That’s legacy. That’s bringing joy to the life of gamers, inspiring other sound designers, and letting other people in the Latinx community know they belong here. And that’s what I’m all about.
